The Challenge is ON!

Together with the Environmental Sustainability Committee I am issuing a challenge to all schools, the Education Centre, the DRRC, and Service Centre Staff to participate in the great DSBN EARTH HOUR CHALLENGE!

The Challenge is easy:

Simply plan an activity in your school or department to help conserve energy and save the planet. Have a turn-off-the-lights event, walk to work, enjoy a boomerang lunch -- the sky is the limit!

To enter the DSBN Earth Hour Challenge, please follow these simple steps:

Step One:

Log on to the Submit Your School's Activity page.

Step Two:

Describe what your Earth Hour Activity will be. The more creative, the better!

Step Three:

Hold your event, and feel good about your contribution to the plant.

Prizes:

One $200 prize for each Area (1-5) will awarded to support environmentally based school projects.

One $200 prize for one department or team from the Ed Centre, DRRC or Service centres will be awarded to support environmental education at the DSBN.

Judging:

Entrants will be judged on the creativity of the activity, and the ability to raise environmental awareness
