MYER’S SPIRIT CARRIES ON

This year Student Council is also spearheading an initiative called “Brick by Brick.” In 1995 Craig Kielburger established a foundation called Free The Children. Brick by Brick is one of the many organizations within this foundation. This year Brick by Brick is working with an international organization called Hand in Hand. Hand in Hand was founded by Joanna, Klimczak, a Myer student last year and is affiliated with Free the Children. Our efforts will focus on raising $50 000 for Adopting Village Programs in Sierra Leone and India. By Adopting Villages in these impoverished regions, we will help provide clean water, health care, education and alternative income sources. We know we can make a difference, we have the will and as a group we will find a way to reach our goals.

Myer Participates in the Santa Claus Parade
The parade can be seen on cable 10 throughout the holiday season. We wish you all a great holiday and best wishes for the New Year.

Santa Claus Parade

On Saturday, November 28th, over 125 Myer students participated in the Niagara Falls Santa Claus Parade. This is an annual event that not only brings the community together, it also is the start of a very festive season. Again, Myer students proudly displayed their purple and white. We celebrated by passing out candy, cheering with our Cheerleaders, holding our heads high with our football players and dancing with our band. It was mighty cold outside, but with our numbers and our Marauder moto of being second to none, we braved the climate and stayed warm celebrating together.

Casino Niagara Marathon

On Sunday, October 25th, approximately 100 Myer students volunteered for the Casino Niagara Marathon.  For more photos and infomation click here!
