French Immersion Grades 5-12

As to the purpose of this site, it is my hope that educators, parents and students alike will find the various links useful in supporting second and third language acquisition. With the advent of new curricula at both the elementary and secondary panels, teachers must familiarize themselves with lists of different expectations at each grade level and a different approach to assessment, evaluation and reporting.

The District School Board of Niagara offers French Immersion programs to students beginning in Grade five in the southern jurisdiction which includes Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, Ridgeway, Port Colborne, Welland, Pelham, and Wainfleet. French Immersion programs are also offered to students beginning in Grade seven in the northern jurisdiction which includes St. Catharines, and Grimsby.
