Local Government Week is October 15 to 21

This week, the DSBN is celebrating good citizenship and civic mindedness by observing Local Government Week.

The DSBN is governed by an eleven-member board of trustees, elected to represent all municipalities within the Niagara region. Trustees support student success developing policy, allocating resources, and advocating for the needs to students. Recently, the Board adopted the DSBN’s new strategic plan, entitled “I Matter,” to guide the system over the next five years.

The next Municipal and School Board Election occurs on Oct. 22, 2018. It will be an opportunity to choose your representatives on the DSBN Board for the next four years.
