What Does This Program Offer?
The Adult Computer Course is a half-day, tuition-free program that teaches students computer skills for career advancement, resume improvement and personal improvements. Courses are held at the Lifetime Learning Centre and are 30-day programs covering a variety of topics including:
MICROSOFT OFFICE 2016 APPLICATIONS (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)
Digital Photography (DSLR, Mobile) and Imaging (Photoshop)
Computer Programming (Scratch, VBA, Mobile App development)
Cloud (Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud)
Social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
A variety of hardware platforms (iOS, Android, Linux, Windows)
Computer fundamentals for beginners
Basic Web Design (HTML, CSS, JAVA)
After completing necessary courses, students should be able to write the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exam as we are a Microsoft Imagine Academy Licensed Facility.
Do I need to attend an information session?
Yes. Information sessions are every Wednesday, promptly at 1:00pm starting the 2nd last week of August and continue until the last Wednesday of March, excluding Winter Holidays and March Break.
How fast can I complete this program?
Students need 30 days to complete a single-credit course at the Lifetime Learning Centre. Classes are from 8:45am - 12:45pm Monday to Friday.
How can I get a copy of my transcript asap?
The Records and Archives Services page has been created to assist requesters on the process to follow in accessing a variety of documents. These requests can be made by current students, students who have been out of school for LESS THAN FIVE YEARS, and for INACTIVE students that have been out of school for FIVE YEARS OR MORE.
