What Does This Program Offer?

The Welding Certification Program gives individuals the chance to get hand-on experience with welding. You will learn the fundamentals of welding, receive training that applies to industry and gain practical welding skills. You may put these welding skills to use as a hobby or pursue a career in a welding-related field like construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding or fabrication.

Who Should Take This Program?

You should take this program if you:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Enjoy working with your hands
  • Have an interest in welding
  • Want to improve your employment prospects

What Can I Do With This Program?

As part of the Welding Certification Program, you’ll be able to:

  • Weld using various methods and practices
  • Learn Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) standards
  • Pursue welding certifications/ “tickets”

When Does It Start?

Please stay tuned for updates on the Welding program for Fall 2020.

Classes typically begin in September however, due to COVID-19 we are unsure of the situation for the upcoming term.

Classes will typically run from 5:00pm - 10:00pm on Tuesday & Thursday nights.

How Do I Apply?

Please attend an information session for your preferred site.
You do not need to reserve your spot.
