With almost 100 schools across Niagara, we’re proud to welcome new students and families into a supportive and caring community. Our staff are committed to helping every student feel included, build confidence, and succeed in ways that are meaningful to them. If your child turns 4 in 2026, they’re ready for Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten program builds a strong foundation in a caring, inclusive environment.
Our elementary schools help students build core skills while exploring their interests in supportive, engaging classrooms.
Our secondary programs offer diverse pathways that help students discover their strengths and prepare for life beyond school.
Registration is quick and easy, and it’s best to complete on a computer. For families who don’t have access to a computer, need more support, or would prefer to register in-person, please contact your home school. Alternatively, you can complete our fillable PDF and email or print it to register.

If you’re already part of the DSBN and moving to a new area, there’s no need to complete a new registration. Simply contact your child’s current school to discuss the change and have your updated proof of address ready.
School staff will guide you through next steps, help coordinate the transition, and ensure your child’s information is updated. Be sure to have your current proof of address ready.

The Ministry of Education requires that every student (ages 4 to 17) has a complete and up-to-date immunization record on file with their local health unit to attend school. Contact Niagara Region Public Health to check that your child’s immunization records are up-to-date.
If your child goes to school in Ontario, you must report their immunization record to Public Health. Public Health will review your child’s record to make sure it is up to date and meets Ontario’s vaccine requirements for school attendance.
Vaccine schedules are different across Canada and around the world. Your child may be up to date in your home country, province or territory, but not in Ontario.
If your child has an Ontario health card, follow these reporting instructions.
If your child does not have an Ontario health card, you can send your child’s immunization record to Public Health by email at vpd@niagararegion.ca. Please include:

After you report your child’s record, Public Health will review it. You may be contacted if more information is needed or if your child requires additional vaccines.
If your child needs vaccines and you do not have a family doctor, you can book an appointment with Public Health. You do not need a health card.
You may receive a notice from Public Health if we do not have an up-to-date immunization record or valid exemption on file.
