Celebrating Students
Each year, DSBN celebrates student creativity and artistic achievement through two signature visual arts exhibitions: the Off the Wall Student Art Show and the Grad Art Show.
The Off the Wall Student Art Show highlights the work of Grade 9 to 11 Visual Arts students from across the district, while the Grad Art Show celebrates the accomplishments of graduating artists from DSBN secondary schools. Curated by students themselves, these exhibitions provide opportunities for young artists to share their work, express their unique perspectives, and connect with the broader community through art.
These showcases recognize the dedication, talent, and growth students demonstrate throughout their artistic journeys while highlighting the important role visual arts education plays in fostering creativity, confidence, critical thinking, identity, and self-expression.
By bringing together students, families, staff, and community members, the exhibitions serve as a meaningful celebration of student voice and the diverse artistic talents found throughout DSBN schools.
