As students get back into class and their normal school routines, it’s important to keep in mind the important role parents play in education.

Parents spent countless hours with their children, encouraging them, helping with problems, and going through assignments. The DSBN believes our dedicated parents deserve some support, and an evening reserved for them. In early November, the DSBN’s Parent Involvement Committee will host its annual conference, designed to give parents an opportunity to network, share best practices, and to learn new strategies to support students.

The event is free to attend, although the committee does request that interested parents register in advance. Registration and session selection can be done by visiting: dsbn.org/pic.

The conference takes place at Eden High School on Lake Street in St. Catharines.
