Doing Business with the District School Board of Niagara
The District School Board of Niagara is responsible for coordinating the acquisition of goods and services to ensure that an open and competitive purchasing process complies with the Broader Public Sector Directives as directed by the Province of Ontario as well as applicable trade agreements such as Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Comprehensive Economic & Trade Agreement (CETA) and Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
To meet the above objective and to provide our vendors with a timely and cost saving mechanism to view and bid on our opportunities, we have partnered with an electronic tendering service Biddingo. Biddingo is an online portal that connects vendors providing various goods and services to opportunities from the provincial, municipal, education, crown corporations, housing, construction, healthcare and private sectors from across Canada. Biddingo will provide the ability for all vendors to register for opportunities and allow the District School Board of Niagara to maintain an up-to-date vendor list.
Formal competitive bid opportunities are posted on Biddingo at www.biddingo.com/dsbn. This service will provide businesses with information regarding bid opportunities available from the District School Board of Niagara, as well as other organizations using Biddingo for tendering.
There are a number of services available free of charge.
Vendor List Registration: Vendors can complete an online application to add themselves to the District School Board of Niagara Vendor List by clicking on the Biddingo link provided on the DSBN website http://www.dsbn.org or by visiting http://www.biddingo.com/dsbn. Once the registration is reviewed and approved, your company will be added to the DSBN vendor list.
Opportunity Alerts: Vendors can register with Biddingo to receive e-mail alerts by clicking on the Biddingo link http://www.biddingo.com.
Biddingo Service Options and Costs
Biddingo offers both subscriber and “pay-as-you-go” options.
Biddingo subscribers can view procurement opportunities available from other government and private sector organizations, as well as bid results and awards, and receive automatic notification of addenda at no additional charge. Subscribers can also download individual procurement documents.
Registered vendors that do not subscribe, will receive email alert notifications of new bid opportunities for their commodity code and be able to purchase and download documents on a "pay-as-you-go" basis.
