About Student Senate

• The Student Senate is composed of 32 student representatives from each secondary school within the DSBN.
• Student Senate provides a space for students to voice their ideas, concerns, and aspirations at a district-wide level.
• Senators work collaboratively to address issues affecting the DSBN student population and advocate for initiatives that enhance school life and promote meaningful change.
• Senators receive updates about board policies and program planning from school board staff.
• Senate meetings are led by elected Student Trustees and an Indigenous Student Trustee.
