Your diploma could be closer than you think!
The mature Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition gives adult students the opportunity to get their diploma quicker than they might expect. The mPLAR program grants adults, who do not have their diploma, credits based on prior work, life and volunteer experience. With the mPLAR program, you could earn your diploma in as little as 5 months.

Do I qualify for the mPLAR program?
If you are 18 years of age or older with less than 26 OSSD credits, please contact Jelena Petrovic @ Jelena.petrovic@dsbn.org to confirm eligibility requirements.
Can I ONLY sign up for this program to obtain my diploma?
In the mPLAR program, students can receive up to 26 credits, however, they must complete the final four (4) courses at a senior level (grade 11 or 12) in order to qualify for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Do I have to complete the literacy requirement and community service hours to obtain my diploma?
Students who are following the OSSD '99 pathway will need to complete the minimum 40 hours of community service hours & complete the written literacy assessment. For students following the OSIS/OSSD '89 or SSGD pathway, these are not applicable.
