After finishing the PSW program, students will be able to work in a variety of settings, such as long-term care homes, hospitals and retirement homes, supportive living, and home care environments. Program Details:

•    Complete your certificate in 6 to 10 months
•    Daytime, evening and weekend class options
•    Placements in a variety of settings, such as long-term care, homecare, retirement living, adult day programs, schools, and more
•    Clinical placements are 6am-2pm anywhere in the Niagara Region
•    Community and Consolidated placements are full-time hours; variable shifts

Who Should Take This Program

You should take this program if you:

  • Have a strong desire to care for vulnerable people
  • Are looking for a new career

What Can I Do With This Program?

As part of the Personal Support Worker program, you will be able to:

  • Get over 400 hours of hands-on experience
  • Start a new career with a 90% placement rate
  • Earn $17.50-$27.00 per hour with lots of opportunities for overtime
  • Earn credits toward your high school diploma
